EU: Reform or Die

Mal Fletcher on BBC Radio

The President of the EU Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, has given sweeping powers in the EU Brexit negotiations to Martin Selmayr, his chief of staff.

Mr Selmayr has reportedly experienced a strong and apparently anit-Britain view that Brexit will be a very good thing for the EU. He reportedly wants to play "hard ball" when it comes to Brexit negotiations.

This position is not supported by many of the national leaders of EU member states, most notably Germany.

The EU, says futurist and social commentator Mal Fletcher, must reform or die. It must totally review its policies on such things as the management of mass migration and border controls.
